AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented Land Surveyor for infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves conducting topographic, control, and setting-out surveys for stormwater drainage and microtunneling works.

Responsibilities
- Conduct topographic, control, and setting out surveys for infrastructure projects, including stormwater drainage and microtunneling works
- Establish, verify, and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference grids
- Review and apply approved drawings, alignment data, and coordinate systems in compliance with local standards and project requirements
- Perform precise measurements for horizontal and vertical alignments, pipe inverts, tunnel drives, and shaft locations
- Conduct as built surveys and verify the accuracy of contractors' as built drawings
- Monitor microtunneling drive alignments and breakthrough coordinates, ensuring compliance with allowable tolerances
- Maintain up to date survey records, field books, and digital data files
- Collaborate with contractors and supervision teams to resolve survey discrepancies or deviations on site
- Verify and certify survey results for measurement sheets, interim payments, and progress verification
- Participate in pre construction and progress meetings to provide input on survey status and required actions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all field operations
- Calibrate and maintain survey instruments according to project quality assurance procedures
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience in surveying and setting out for infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS, Total Station, and surveying software
- Strong understanding of coordinate systems, datum control, and vertical alignment verification
- Experience with deep pipeline, shaft construction, and tunnel alignment monitoring
- RTA approval and certification for Microtunneling Works (mandatory)
- Familiarity with RTA, DM, and DEWA standards for utility and infrastructure projects
- Expertise in stormwater drainage and microtunneling works
- Knowledge of UAE construction standards and procedures, particularly in Dubai
- Strong mathematical and problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
- Good physical fitness for fieldwork activities
