Responsibilities
- Perform construction, property or boundary, topographic, right-of-way, transportation, and control surveys.
- Determine feature and boundary coordinates using theodolites, transits, levels, and GPS.
- Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data for positions, shapes, and elevations.
- Operate total stations, digital levels, electronic data collectors, and GNSS receivers.
- Gather field data using conventional TPS and GNSS equipment and methods.
- Verify measurements and calculate terrain heights, depths, positions, property lines, and related characteristics.
- Prepare sketches, charts, maps, reports, legal descriptions, and other survey records.
- Analyze survey objectives and specifications and prepare or direct survey proposals.
- Establish fixed points for mapping and supervise computer drafting and survey crews.
- Check completed work against project line and grade requirements with the assigned inspector.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Engineer.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in surveying or a similar role.
- Proficiency in 3D Laser Scan-to-BIM technology.
