Responsibilities
- Perform architectural and finishing inspections and prepare compliance reports under the Dar Quality Assurance Program.
- Maintain inspection checklists, inspection frequencies, forward plans, completed reports, and recommendations.
- Ensure contractors and subcontractors follow safe working practices, Permit to Work requirements, and Dar procedures.
- Inspect materials and organize field or laboratory testing for compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate with the Resident Engineer on quality management and site supervision activities.
- Attend technical meetings covering contractor submissions, shop drawings, materials, permits, and construction matters.
- Raise non-conformance and site inspection notices and identify quality deficiencies.
- Review method statements, monitor programme progress, and support final inspection, completion certification, and handover.
Requirements
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least seven years of experience in architectural inspection or a similar construction-industry role.
- Experience with high-rise buildings or commercial projects is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
