The hotel is seeking a maintenance professional who provides high customer service and practical solutions for guests.
The Kitchen Technician maintains kitchen equipment under the direction of the General Mechanical Supervisor and follows hotel policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and service kitchen equipment to keep it operational and avoid breakdowns.
- Perform preventive maintenance and complete equipment turnover quickly and efficiently.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies and apply appropriate actions under hotel policy and standards.
- Operate safely and in an environmentally friendly manner to protect health and safety and conserve the environment.
- Comply with hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- Be a licensed high or low pressure boiler operator.
- Have previous experience in a similar role.
- Have proven knowledge of equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, or steam boilers.
- Have a good command of English and the ability to find faults and rectify subsystems.
Knowledge and Competencies
- The candidate should be self-motivated, hands-on, flexible, proactive, reliable, and able to adapt to unpredictable events.
- The role requires staying calm under pressure, attention to detail, teamwork, responsibility, adaptability, and customer focus.
- Relevant competencies include understanding the job, teamwork, taking responsibility, recognizing differences, adaptability, and customer focus.
