Role Overview

  • We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Team Member to join our International Cuisine (Salads & Sandwiches) line. This is a client facing, QSR style role — you will prepare and assemble menu items to order in full view of customers, at speed, while maintaining consistent quality, presentation, and

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, assemble, and present salads, sandwiches, and other International Cuisine menu items to Hostmind's recipe, portion, and plating standards.
  • Work a QSR / open counter station, engaging directly with walk in customers — taking orders, answering menu questions, and handling requests professionally and courteously.
  • Maintain mise en place at all times; ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated on a FIFO basis.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures, including correct handling of allergens and cross contamination controls.
  • Keep the workstation, tools, and equipment clean and organized in line with Hostmind's SOPs and daily cleaning schedules.
  • Monitor stock levels at the station and flag shortages or quality issues to the Kitchen Team Leader / Head Chef in good time.
  • Maintain consistent speed of service during peak hours without compromising food quality or presentation.
  • Handle customer feedback or complaints at the point of service calmly and escalate appropriately when needed.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of combined experience in the restaurant and cloud kitchen industry — candidates must have hands on experience in BOTH a traditional restaurant kitchen AND a cloud/ghost kitchen environment.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing International Cuisine at a professional level.
  • Prior experience in a QSR or client facing / open counter kitchen role is required.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure during high volume service periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, in line with UAE Labour Law.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Familiarity with multi brand cloud kitchen operations (producing for several concepts from one kitchen).
  • Basic Food Safety / HACCP certification (or willingness to obtain one on joining).
  • Good spoken English; Arabic is an advantage given our diverse customer base.
  • Prior exposure to new branch openings or kitchen setup/launch projects.
  • A customer first attitude and comfort working in a highly visible, open kitchen counter setting.
