- Willingness to work with rodent models including basic handling and surgical techniques
- High proficiency in English
- Excellent computational, experimental, or engineering skills are strongly preferred

Position Overview
- The Center for Translational Medical Devices (CENTMED) at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to join this new initiative focusing on designing and developing novel medical devices for ultimate human use.
- The successful applicant will join several fascinating projects on engineering novel approaches to improve the diagnosis and therapy of metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurologic diseases.
- These projects entail computational modelling, device design and manufacturing, optimization of chemical, mechanical, and electrical characteristics, and preclinical experiments.
Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Applicants must have a BS (MS preferred) in an engineering or biomedical related discipline.
- Experience in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
- Strong organization, communication, problem solving and time management skills.
- Applicants should ideally be willing to work with rodent models including basic handling and surgical techniques.
- High proficiency in English is required.
- Excellent computational, experimental, or engineering skills are strongly preferred.
