Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create test plans and test cases
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end to end testing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API testing
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects; work with developers to validate fixes
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
- Prepare test documentation including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test summary reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong experience in manual and automated software testing
- Experience with automation tools like Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Appium, or Robot Framework
- Programming knowledge in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#
- Experience with API testing using Postman
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Working knowledge of SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- ISTQB certification is preferred

About the Role
- We are looking for a detail oriented and proactive QA Engineer who has strong experience in both manual and automated software testing.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and usability of enterprise web and mobile applications.
- You will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, UI/UX Designers, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Project Managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manual Testing: Analyze business requirements, create test plans, test cases, and perform various testing types.
- Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts; build scalable automation frameworks; integrate tests into CI/CD.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects; reproduce issues and provide detailed bug reports.
- Quality Engineering: Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives; estimate QA effort; maintain quality metrics.
- Documentation: Prepare test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, test summary reports, and release validation reports.
Required Skills
- Manual Testing: Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, test case design techniques, defect lifecycle, risk based testing, regression strategy.
- Automation: Experience with Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Appium, or Robot Framework; programming in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#.
- API Testing: Postman, REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, JSON, API automation.
- Performance Testing (Preferred): JMeter, k6, LoadRunner.
- Test Management Tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray.
- CI/CD: Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git.
- Database Skills: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL; ability to write SQL queries.
- Code Quality & Static Analysis: SonarQube, code coverage tools (JaCoCo, Istanbul/nyc), Clean Code principles.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing Microsoft Azure based applications.
- Experience with cloud native applications and microservices.
- Experience testing AI powered applications or copilots.
- Experience testing video conferencing or real time communication platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1).
- Security testing awareness (OWASP Top 10).
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365.
