Mandatory technical skills
- Java 17+, object-oriented programming, multithreading and concurrency, and backend unit testing with JUnit are mandatory.
- Microservices, REST APIs, Hibernate, Kafka, Maven, GitHub, MS SQL, design principles, design patterns, and Spring Boot with Spring Security and JWT are mandatory.
- Messaging middleware may include JMS, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, or ASB.
- GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket may be used for DevOps and configuration management.
Additional skills
- Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes are additional skills.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable enterprise applications with Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Define API contracts, service boundaries, and integration strategies for distributed systems.
- Develop reusable backend components using clean architecture and secure coding practices.
- Optimize performance through caching, asynchronous processing, database tuning, and JVM optimization.
- Own assigned modules through design, development, testing support, and deployment readiness.
- Conduct code reviews and collaborate with stakeholders on technical solutions.
- Improve event-driven architecture, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and deployment automation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and mentor junior developers.
