Java Developer – Spring Boot, Microservices, Big Data & Cloud

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, risks, and actionable insights.
• Develop scalable Java microservices with Spring Boot and maintain data pipelines for efficient and traceable processing.
• Work with databases, cloud storage, Hadoop, Spark, and related technologies for data access and large-scale processing.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and data teams to understand requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Troubleshoot software, data-quality, integration, performance, and production issues.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, documentation, production support, and sustainable cloud practices.

Required Requirements

• Approximately 4–5 years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, software development, or a related role.
• Proficiency in Java and practical experience with object-oriented programming, concurrency, and multithreading.
• Strong database knowledge covering relational modeling, SQL, joins, indexing, transactions, normalization, and query performance.
• Experience with Spring Boot microservices, RESTful APIs, data pipelines, large datasets, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Ability to troubleshoot application, integration, data-processing, performance, and production issues.
• Understanding of secure coding, access controls, encryption, privacy, compliance, and data-handling standards.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field is required, with equivalent practical experience also considered.
• Relevant training in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, databases, big data, cloud technologies, or data analytics is beneficial.
• Recognized certification in data, analytics, cloud, or data science is preferred.
• Candidates should maintain professional development in Java, data engineering, analytics, cloud platforms, security, and industry standards.

Technical Skills

• Preferred experience includes distributed high-volume applications, Java 11 or later, containers, orchestration, messaging, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native services.
• Preferred development practices include source control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, monitoring, static analysis, and performance testing.
• Essential security knowledge includes secure APIs, authentication, authorization, encryption, access control, and protection of sensitive data.
