Role Overview

  • Under the general guidance of the Information Technology Manager, provide support for corporate Information Technology.
  • Ensure functional integration of network and LAN hardware components.
  • Assist IT Manager, Department Heads and users for effective operation of Fidelio, Micros, networking, telephones, PCs and other systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer e mails/fax concerning I.T. matters in the absence of IT Manager.
  • Attend to tasks assigned by the IT Manager.
  • Assist in preparing and conducting user training on Fidelio, Micros modules, internet & other office automation software.
  • Monitor usage of available resources software and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot problems in Fidelio, Micros, Sopho, and other Hotel systems.
  • Revise forms to be used in Fidelio and other internal control systems.
  • Support users in their daily operations.
  • Modify simple reports in Fidelio.
  • Modify user rights as per IT Manager's instructions.
  • Research, develop, and program system applicable to end users.
  • Maintain and monitor backup tapes.
  • Analyze software and hardware problems to detect/correct deficiencies, malfunctions and irregularities.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Fidelio, Micros, and hotel systems.
  • Knowledge of network and LAN hardware.
  • Ability to conduct user training.
  • Available 24 hours on call.
