Role Overview

The IT Coordinator supports daily technology operations for the hotel and provides responsive first-level assistance to Heartists and guests.

The role covers hotel systems, user access, equipment, vendors, cybersecurity, records, onboarding, and IT projects.

IT Support and Systems

  • Coordinate daily IT support activities and prioritize technical requests according to operational needs.
  • Provide first-level support for hardware, software, network connectivity, and hotel IT systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, telephones, network equipment, and other IT devices.
  • Support PMS, POS, PABX, Wi-Fi, access control, and other hotel operational technology.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex matters to the IT Assistant Manager or approved service providers.

Access, Assets, and Vendors

  • Manage user accounts, system access, software installations, updates, and security patches.
  • Maintain asset inventories, software licenses, warranties, service records, and IT incident records.
  • Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and technical support.
  • Maintain secure, organized IT and server areas and report technical, safety, or security concerns.

Security and Projects

  • Monitor IT systems and assist with backups, cybersecurity, business continuity, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Set up equipment, accounts, and system access for new Heartist onboarding.
  • Provide basic IT training and guidance on systems, applications, and cybersecurity awareness.
  • Support IT projects, system upgrades, installations, and new technology implementations.

Qualifications

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • At least two years of IT support experience is required; hotel or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting is required.
  • Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, printers, Wi-Fi, and basic network infrastructure is required.
  • Knowledge of PMS, POS, PBX, and access control is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to IT issues is required.
  • Knowledge of IT security, data protection, and cybersecurity best practices is required.
  • Good command of written and spoken English is required.
  • Relevant CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications are advantageous.

Work Environment

  • The role supports hotel operations and requires coordination with Heartists, guests, vendors, and service providers.
