Investment Manager

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze investment opportunities in line with investment strategy and objectives.
• Conduct financial, commercial, and market analysis of proposed investments.
• Develop financial models, feasibility studies, business cases, and return analyses.
• Perform company, asset, and investment valuations using appropriate methodologies.
• Participate in acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and other investment transactions.
• Support transaction structuring, negotiations, approvals, and execution.
• Monitor portfolio performance, returns, business plans, budgets, and investment targets.
• Coordinate due diligence with legal, financial, technical, and other external advisers.
• Assess financial, commercial, operational, and market risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Prepare investment memoranda, executive reports, analyses, and presentations.
• Contribute to long-term investment strategies and maintain complete investment records.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in investment, asset management, portfolio management, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or financial analysis.
• Proven experience evaluating investment opportunities and preparing recommendations.
• Advanced experience in financial modelling, feasibility studies, financial analysis, and valuation.
• Experience monitoring investment portfolios and financial and operational performance.
• Strong understanding of investment risk assessment, governance, and decision-making processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to present clear investment cases to senior management and investment committees.
• A master’s degree in Finance, Investment, or Business Administration is preferred.
• CFA, CMA, CPA, or a similar certification is advantageous.
• Due diligence, transaction structuring, and mergers and acquisitions experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in an investment, fund, holding company, asset management, family office, or transaction advisory environment is preferred.
