Job Summary

Credit Operations Intern

• , you will be a key guardian of the organization’s financial stability.
• Working within the Risk team, you’ll help manage the delicate balance between enabling growth and mitigating loss.
• Your role is to ensure that every credit decision is backed by solid data, every application meets strict policy standards, and the overall health of the credit portfolio is monitored with precision
• What will you be doing?
• Credit Assessment: Assisting in the "detective work" of reviewing credit applications and verifying that all supporting documentation is accurate and complete.
• Risk Analysis: Supporting the team in evaluating the creditworthiness of applicants by analyzing their financial background and potential risk factors.
• Database Management: Keeping the credit "source of truth" updated by maintaining databases and ensuring that records reflect the most current status of loans or credit lines.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Working with various internal departments to ensure that all credit activities remain compliant with the company’s internal risk policies.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Helping prepare performance reports that track the "health" of the credit portfolio, identifying trends in repayments or potential defaults
• You're a perfect match if you have
• Academic Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
• An Analytical Mindset: You enjoy digging into data to find the "story" behind the numbers and understand why a certain risk might be acceptable or not.
• Financial Literacy: A foundational understanding of Financial Statements (Balance Sheets and Income Statements) and basic Credit Risk principles.
• Excel Efficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to organize data and use basic formulas to generate reports.
• Unwavering Attention to Detail: Because a small error in a credit assessment can have a large financial impact, you pride yourself on being meticulous and thorough.
