- Lead and execute risk based internal audits across the UAE
- Develop the annual audit plan in line with regulatory requirements and business priorities
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, governance and risk management processes
- Conduct audits across retail operations, trade finance, AML, compliance, treasury and general operations
- Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee
- Monitor the implementation and closure of audit recommendations
- Coordinate with Group Internal Audit and specialist teams on corporate, commercial and IT audit activities
- Support special audits, investigations and external audit requirements where necessary
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' banking experience with strong exposure to Internal Audit within a regional bank
- Strong operational audit experience and good knowledge of AML and compliance
- Experience managing the full audit lifecycle independently
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics or a related discipline
- Professional qualification such as CIA, ACCA or CPA is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and professional judgement

The Opportunity
- We are partnering with a well established financial institution with a strong presence in the UAE to appoint an experienced Internal Audit Manager for its Dubai operations.
- This is a high visibility, autonomous role with responsibility for leading and executing the Internal Audit function, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and Group Internal Audit standards.
- The successful candidate will take ownership of the full audit lifecycle from risk assessment and planning through to execution, reporting and follow up with exposure across retail operations, trade finance, AML, compliance, treasury and operational controls.

- Conduct audits across retail operations, trade finance, AML, compliance, treasury and general operations.
- Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and, where required, the Audit Committee.
- Monitor the implementation and closure of audit recommendations.
- Coordinate with Group Internal Audit and specialist teams on corporate, commercial and IT audit activities.
- Support special audits, investigations and external audit requirements where necessary.
Experience & Qualifications
- Only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role
- Minimum 4 years' banking experience with strong exposure to Internal Audit within a regional bank
- Strong operational audit experience and good knowledge of AML and compliance.
- Experience managing the full audit lifecycle independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CIA, ACCA or CPA is strongly preferred. Candidates who have completed approximately 60–70% or more of a relevant qualification will also be considered.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and professional judgement.
