- Develop master visual concepts in line with the internal creative brief and the campaigns’ objectives
- Fulfil general design requests, art working, supply of materials and day to day design needs
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and provide graphic design support to various hotel departments
- Design and produce marketing materials including collateral, touchpoints, advertisements, brochures, signage and presentations
- Monitor the progress of all projects, providing continuous status updates
- Adhere to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s brand guidelines in all design projects
- Supervise production of the hotel’s internal and external collaterals as per the brand’s standards
- Manage relationships with external printers and suppliers to ensure quality control
- Update and maintain databases of designs, photography, and video assets
- Assist departments to implement campaigns in accordance with the marketing plan
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or any other design related education certification
- Solid knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and interactive media production
- Minimum 6 months of internship/full time experience working in an agency or marketing environment in a similar role
- Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design
- Portfolio of work ready to share
- Availability to join in September for a duration of 6 months
- A solution oriented, collaborative, proactive individual with strong communication skills
- Flexible and resilient approach with ability to work under pressure

Overview
- Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is looking for a Graphic Designer Intern to join our Public Relations & Marketing Team.
- Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Graphic Designer Intern will be responsible for managing the hotel’s creative projects from inception to completion.
As a Graphic Designer Intern you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Develop master visual concepts in line with the internal creative brief and the campaigns’ objectives.
- Fulfil general design requests, art working, supply of materials and day to day design needs.
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and provide graphic design support to various hotel departments.
- Design and produce marketing materials including, but not limited to, collateral, touchpoints, advertisements, brochures, signage and presentations.
- Monitor the progress of all projects, providing continuous status updates.
- Adhere to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s brand guidelines in all design projects.
- Ensure that the corporate BCM manuals are kept up to date and implemented as appropriate.
- Supervise production of the hotel’s internal and external collaterals as per the brand’s standards.
- Source and maintain a list of reliable suppliers.
- Manage relationships with external printers and suppliers to ensure quality control at all times.
- Co ordinate the display and removal of all promotional materials within the hotel premises.
- Update and maintain databases of designs, photography, and video assets.
As a Graphic Designer Intern we expect from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or any other design related education certification.
- Solid knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and interactive media production.
- A solution oriented, collaborative, proactive individual with strong communication skills.
- A flexible and resilient approach with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced and demanding environment.
- Minimum 6 months of internship/full time experience working in an agency or marketing environment in a similar role.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design.
- Previous working experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
- Portfolio of work ready to share.
