Internship Overview
NiSource is seeking a Summer Communications Intern for a 12-week program starting in May 2027.
The internship is based in Merrillville, Indiana, and is intended for students entering their junior or senior year in fall 2027.
The intern will support brand and channel communications, content creation, platform management, analytics, and emergency communications.
Social Media and Platforms
- Draft, schedule, and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Nextdoor.
- Monitor engagement, assist with community management, and maintain editorial calendars and content checklists.
Content Creation
- Write captions, articles, scripts, news content, news releases, customer mailings, and company fact sheets.
- Support video and photo production, including storyboarding and on-site shoots.
- Create videos, graphics, web materials, and other internal and external communications content.
Analytics and Crisis Communications
