Your impact
As a Wastewater Process Engineer in our Burnaby office, you’ll play a key role in delivering impactful water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Western Canada. You’ll join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on sustainable solutions that improve the quality of life in communities. You will support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment projects. You’ll bring your strong process engineering expertise and project execution skills to help deliver high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities will include
- Lead and support the process design of wastewater treatment facilities, including preliminary and detailed design phases
- Perform process modeling, mass balances, and hydraulic calculations for treatment systems
- Develop technical reports, specifications, and design documentation
- Participate in pilot testing, process optimization, and troubleshooting activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers
- Support proposal development, including technical approach and scope definition
- Provide mentorship and guidance to intermediate and junior engineers
- Support or lead project delivery for wastewater projects of moderate complexity
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and clients to ensure alignment on project objectives
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks and changes
- Contribute to client relationship management through effective communication and technical leadership
Here's what you'll need
•Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering (Master’s degree considered an asset)
