Job Purpose
Control and monitor the controls and instrumentation team carrying out maintenance activities on installed plant instruments, equipment, and control systems.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance across DCP, RO, Network, and ETS systems is completed according to the PPM planner and standard work instructions.
Day-to-day Operations
- Inspect ETS primary-side systems with the customer service team and assist with BTU meter commissioning when required.
- Witness ETS PLC system testing and commissioning with the engineering team through handover.
- Prepare C&I PPM planners according to OEM recommendations and assist the team with execution.
- Operate and support plant systems in Auto, Semi-Auto, Manual, and Local modes.
- Identify hazards, support SOP preparation, and minimize installation and operational errors.
- Maintain C&I spare-parts inventory and track required stock levels.
- Coordinate chiller controller, VFD, and soft starter operation and configuration with the electrical team.
- Monitor equipment and instruments for malfunctions and support failure resolution and replacement decisions.
- Review plant schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings from an operations and maintenance perspective.
- Perform instrument and flow-meter calibration and maintain equipment history and calibration records.
- Coordinate master-calibrator calibration, OEM support, and third-party contractor activities.

- The role is located in Qatar.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of operating plant equipment and control systems in Auto, Semi-Auto, Manual, and Local modes.
- Ability to inspect ETS primary-side systems and assist with BTU meter commissioning.
- Ability to diagnose chiller controller faults and support remedial actions for instrumentation failures.
- Ability to interpret plant schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings from an operations and maintenance perspective.
- Ability to perform instrument and flow-meter calibration using appropriate software and calibrators.
- Ability to identify safety hazards and support preparation of SOPs based on approved control philosophy.
