About the Role
AECOM is seeking a Material Inspector for construction projects in Dubai. You will inspect and verify construction materials, ensure compliance with RTA specifications, conduct sampling and testing, and maintain quality records.

Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify all construction materials delivered to site to ensure compliance with RTA specifications, approved material submittals, and contract requirements
- Check material source approvals, delivery notes, batch certificates, and test reports prior to acceptance and use at site
- Carry out sampling and witnessing of laboratory and field tests for soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel, and other civil materials as per approved ITPs
- Ensure materials used for roadworks, bridges, culverts, drainage, and utility works conform to approved specifications and drawings
- Monitor storage, handling, and protection of materials to prevent contamination, segregation, or damage
- Verify compliance with RTA approved suppliers, manufacturers, and testing laboratories
- Coordinate with the Material Engineer and Site Engineer regarding testing schedules, approvals, and material related issues
- Inspect asphalt paving, concrete works, earthworks, and backfilling to ensure correct materials and workmanship are used
- Review and submit Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) related to materials and civil works
- Maintain accurate inspection records, test results, and material logs for QA/QC and as built documentation
- Identify non conforming materials, raise NCRs and site observations, and follow up on corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, especially during material handling, sampling, and testing activities
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma holders with relevant education background
- RTA or DM Approval holder is must
- Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE

Qualifications

Additional Information
- Maintain complete records of materials test results, inspections, and executed works for project closeout and handover.
- Conduct audit inspections to verify conformity with contract documents, approved shop drawings, method statements, and contractor quality plans.
- Ensure that all works comply with Dubai Municipality (DM), RTA, DEWA, and other local authority standards and regulations
- Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE
