About the Role

Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify all construction materials delivered to site for compliance with approved material submittals and contract requirements
- Check material source approvals, delivery notes, batch certificates, and test reports prior to acceptance
- Carry out sampling and witnessing of laboratory and field tests for soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, steel, and other civil materials as per approved ITPs
- Ensure materials used for roadworks, bridges, culverts, drainage, and utility works conform to approved specifications and drawings
- Monitor storage, handling, and protection of materials to prevent contamination, segregation, or damage
- Verify compliance with RTA approved suppliers, manufacturers, and testing laboratories
- Coordinate with Material Engineer and Site Engineer regarding testing schedules, approvals, and material related issues
- Inspect asphalt paving, concrete works, earthworks, and backfilling to ensure correct materials and workmanship
- Review and submit Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) related to materials and civil works
- Maintain accurate inspection records, test results, and material logs for QA/QC and as built documentation
- Identify non conforming materials, raise NCRs and site observations, and follow up on corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, especially during material handling, sampling, and testing activities
