About the Role
Black & White Engineering is looking for an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to take ownership of a modern Microsoft Azure environment. You will work across cloud infrastructure, identity, automation, security, data platforms, AI workloads, and HPC environments.

Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise Microsoft Azure environments including compute, storage, networking, and platform services.
- Support Azure Landing Zones and cloud platform foundations.
- Maintain secure, scalable, and cost efficient cloud infrastructure.
- Manage patching, lifecycle activities, operating system hardening, and platform governance.
- Drive environment consistency through Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and Privileged Identity Management.
- Support Zero Trust initiatives in collaboration with Cyber Security teams.
- Support Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and modern data platform infrastructure.
- Assist with AI and machine learning environments including Azure OpenAI services and GPU based workloads.
- Operate Linux based High Performance Computing environments.
- Automate infrastructure operations using Terraform, Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and identity management.
- Experience with Intune and endpoint management.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience with Linux administration (RHEL and/or Ubuntu).
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Experience with cloud cost optimisation and capacity planning.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, container platforms, HPC environments, or hybrid cloud architectures is advantageous.
