Role Description
- Requirement 1 - Required IT Project Manager with extensive banking experience, especially in Asset & Wealth Management (Products handled: Avaloq - Front Office , Finastra TCM - Middle Office , Temenos - Back Office)
- Mandatory Skills: Project Manager , Project Management, PMP Certified, Strong Banking experience.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in managing IT projects in banking and financial services.
• Position: IT Project Manager
- Job Purpose Summary: The incumbent is primarily responsible for managing, coordinating and monitoring a portfolio of IT projects from initiation to closing and ensure that these projects are delivered on schedule as per the strategy plan.
• Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage assigned portfolio of projects in accordance with the IT Project management methodology to ensure successful execution of the project as measured by set goals and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the successful project completion. Build effective communications and manage vendor engagements to ensure contractual obligations are met at both ends.
- Coordinate between various departments within IT to ensure the progress of the ongoing projects. Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors and peers. Report project progress and problems to management on a timely basis. Prepare the project initiation reports, project status reports, project closure reports and all other requisite reports on a timely basis and communicate appropriately. Minimize risk exposure by managing the scope and mitigating risk across projects.
Required Special Skills
- Strong project management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Strong stakeholder management skills Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making and financial management skills. Self-driven with well-developed leadership, motivational and team-building skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability and willingness to learn and adapt.
