About the Role
RiDiK is seeking an experienced SQL DBA for a contract role in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The candidate will administer SQL Server 2012-2022, implement high availability features, manage performance tuning, and ensure database security.

Responsibilities
- Administer SQL Server databases (2012 2022) including installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Implement and manage high availability features like Always On, Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping
- Set up and manage Active Passive and Active Active SQL Server clustering
- Implement disaster recovery solutions using SAN based replication
- Perform SQL Server upgrades and patching
- Migrate data between different SQL Server versions or instances
- Analyze and optimize database performance including index optimization, query tuning, and resource utilization
- Administer SQL Server BI features (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS)
- Implement database security features like Dynamic Data Masking
- Automate maintenance tasks using SQL scripting
- Tune SQL Server database queries
- Link SQL Server data with other RDBMS like Oracle using linked servers
Requirements
- Excellent skills in Administration of SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022
- Hands on experience in implementation of SQL server High availability features like Always on, SQL Mirroring, SQL Replication and SQL Log shipping
- Hands on experience in Active passive and Active Active SQL server clustering
- Hands on experience in implementing DR solutions using SAN based replication
- Experience in performing SQL server upgrades and patching
- Experience in migrating data between different SQL Server versions or instances
- Experience in analyzing and optimizing database performance, including index optimization, query tuning, and resource utilization
- Hands on experience in Administration of SQL server business intelligence features like SSRS, SSAS, SSIS
- Hands on experience in implementing database security features like Dynamic Data Masking
- Good SQL scripting knowledge for automating maintenance tasks
- Hands on experience in tuning SQL server Database queries
- Good knowledge of network and storage management

Requirements
- Excellent skills in Administration of SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022 and good knowledge of physical/Logical database design
- Ability to perform both MS SQL and operating system performance monitoring and necessary adjustments
- Hands on experience in implementation of SQL server High availability features like Always on, SQL Mirroring, SQL Replication and SQL Log shipping
- Candidate must have good hands on experience in Cluster Setup
- Hands on experience in Active passive and Active Active SQL server clustering
- Good understanding of databases features. Ability to manage multiple tasks including Incident/Ticket management, Upgrades, and Deployments
- Hand on experience in implementing DR solutions using the SAN based replication is a must
- Experience in performing SQL server upgrades and patching to ensure the environment is up to date
- Experience in migrating data between different SQL Server versions or instances and integrating data from various sources
- Experience in analyzing and optimizing database performance, including index optimization, query tuning, and resource utilization (Build & Run)
- Hand on experience in using the tools like SQL profiler, database Tuning Advisor and others
- Hands on experience in the Administration of SQL server business intelligence features like SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
