Responsibilities
- Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Troubleshoot network issues (connectivity, performance, security) and provide timely resolutions
- Perform routine network monitoring and ensure network performance and availability meet company requirements
- Help configure and maintain network devices such as VLANs, subnets, IP routing, and VPNs
- Assist in setup and maintenance of internal and external network systems including LANs, WANs, and cloud based networks
- Configure, troubleshoot, and manage database storage servers and cloud servers
- Support network security efforts by assisting with firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN configurations
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Participate in network performance optimization and capacity planning activities
- Assist in management of network access control and network traffic analysis
- Provide support for end users regarding network related issues, both in person and remotely
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of network related systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Proven experience in IT support, networking, and system administration
- Hands on experience with MacBook configuration and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts including LAN, WAN, VLANs, IP routing, VPNs, and firewalls
- Experience with server management, database storage systems, and cloud environments
- Knowledge of network security practices and troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network related issues
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem solving skills
