Job Description

  • An In Room Dining Manager at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is responsible for leading and overseeing all In Room Dining operations, delivering a seamless, refined, and anticipatory guest experience in line with Waldorf Astoria brand and Forbes Travel Guide Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the Room Service and Minibar teams, ensuring targets are met and exceeded while promoting individual development and a high performance culture.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent delivery of service aligned with Waldorf Astoria brand standards and Forbes Travel Guide requirements.
  • Drive the development and execution of innovative ideas to enhance the range, quality, and presentation of Food & Beverage offerings.
  • Optimize revenue performance and manage costs, identifying areas for action and ensuring adherence to departmental budgets.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with all hotel, company, and statutory policies and procedures.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exemplary behavior and professionalism across all operational areas.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure coordinated and seamless service delivery.
  • Train, mentor, and develop employees to ensure they have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to perform at the highest standards.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction levels, proactively addressing feedback, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Plan and manage staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage across 24/7 operations while maintaining fair team rotation.
  • Ensure all operational and safety standards are met, including health & safety, hygiene, COSHH, manual handling, and risk assessments.
  • Maximize all upselling opportunities and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • Management experience in In Room Dining within a luxury hotel
  • Strong leadership capabilities supported by excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving financial and performance targets
  • Impeccable grooming and professional presentation
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast paced environment
  • Solid knowledge of luxury and Forbes Five Star service standards (preferred)
  • Passion for delivering exceptional level of guest service (preferred)
  • Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or related field (preferred)
