We are seeking a qualified Hygiene Officer to join our EPC project team supporting large-scale oil & gas operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring camp hygiene, food safety, and HSE compliance across site facilities.

Your Role
As a
Hygiene Officer,
- you will
- Implement and maintain Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) and HACCP systems in camp and catering environments
- Conduct regular audits of: Kitchens & dining facilities, Laundry services, Recreational & welfare facilities
- Monitor and assess food suppliers and raw materials
- Deliver hygiene and food safety training to food handlers
- Maintain HACCP documentation and compliance records
- Support HSE initiatives, including: Site inspections, Worker inductions & awareness sessions, Incident reporting & investigations
- Ensure compliance with HSE plans, welfare procedures, and emergency response protocols
- Participate in implementation of Permit to Work (PTW), Risk Assessment, and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HSE roles
- Strong background in camp hygiene and food safety management
- Minimum 1 year experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, EPC projects
- Hands-on experience in construction, commissioning, or operations environments
Education And Certifications And Licenses
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma
- Level 3 Award in HACCP
- Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification; preferred
Skills And Competencies
- Strong understanding of HSE systems and procedures
- Ability to independently conduct audits and generate reports
- Experience delivering training and awareness programs
- Knowledge of H2S safety measures (preferred)
- Strong communication skills (English required)
- Ability to work in a multicultural, high-risk environment
