- Study blueprints, design specifications, or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain configuration of heating or cooling equipment components
- Develop and perform preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, power washing, refilling non toxic refrigerants, or changing filters
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
- Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions
- Support refreshing of office and manufacturing areas including drywall repairs, trim/molding replacement, caulking, fixture adjustments and painting
- Provide support and back up for other members of department as needed by leadership
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Must have Maryland HVACR License (Journeyman)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with commercial or industrial HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, and rooftop units
- Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR
- 5+ years of experience with commercial or industrial HVAC systems, including boilers/chillers (preferred)

Overview
- Eaton’s IS AER FED division is seeking a HVAC Technician 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD.
- Core hours are 7 am 3:30 pm.
- Hourly rate is $33.50 per hour.
- Eaton's Beltsville facility is home to 400+ team members driving advancements in aerospace technology.
What You’ll Do

Qualifications

Skills/Position Criteria
- Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards.
- Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12 hours.
- Ability to work in any weather conditions and on rooftops.
- Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of operating lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts and hand tools.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders.
