Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Read and interpret BOQ and specifications.
- Prepare and participate in design reviews.
- Design smaller air conditioning systems and modifications.
- Maintain professional rapport with engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Perform heat load calculations for air conditioning systems.
- Select equipment (Split AC, Package A/C, Chiller, AHU, FCU, etc.).
- Design ducting and chilled water piping.
- Review vendor data sheets.
- Carry out design considering heat generating/transmitting equipment.
- Design DX and chilled water systems.
- Pipe design and sizing, static pressure calculations, selection of grilles and diffusers.
- Duct design per ISO, EU, SMACNA, DW144.
Tools & Methods, HSEQ
- Abide by Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policy and procedures.
- Actively committed to HSEQ compliance and local legislation.
Customer Relations
- Develop pro active working relationship with authorities and assist in service improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors of Engineering.
- 5+ years experience in technical maintenance with exposure to Facilities Management in Mechanical Engineering and maintenance of Airports, Retail, & industrial sections.
Job Specific Skills
- Knowledge of safe work methods and practices.
- Knowledge of materials used in HVAC installation, maintenance and repair work.
- Knowledge of international & local industry specific codes.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used in HVAC installation, maintenance and repair work.
