Role Overview
HSE Officer responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining HSE standards at fit-out project sites.
The role supports compliance with company policies, local regulations, and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and standards across fit-out project sites.
- Conduct daily site inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Deliver HSE inductions and training for employees, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Prepare risk assessments, method statements, incident reports, and inspection checklists.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend preventive measures.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, emergency drills, and HSE audits.
- Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients on HSE matters.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- NEBOSH IGC, OSHA certification, or an equivalent certification is mandatory.
- Four to five years of HSE experience in fit-out, interior contracting, or construction.
- Strong knowledge of UAE, Qatar, Oman, or relevant regional HSE regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication, observation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards is preferred.
- Experience managing subcontractor safety compliance is preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proactive safety mindset are preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is listed as AED 3,000 to AED 5,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work is performed in person.
