About the Role

Responsibilities
- Ensure HSSEQ goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership
- Provide overall HSSE guidance to the project and ensure HSSE Management System is established
- Monitor EPC Contractor to ensure project HSSE objectives are met
- Provide leadership to PMC HSSE resources and EPC Contractor teams
- Champion project safety culture, behaviors and engagement activities
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve HSSE issues during EPC phase
- Coordinate with PMC Construction Engineers for HSSE activities
- Ensure project HSSE procedures are established and implemented by EPC Contractor
- Advise PMC team on HSSE questions and collaborate on objectives
- Witness HSSE Audits conducted by EPC Contractor
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety, health, environmental, technical, scientific, or related engineering
- Relevant experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
- Experience in preparing HSEIA reports and conversant in QRA development

Principal Accountabilities
- Ensuring HSSEQ goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement.
- Safe delivery and handover of the Project to the Owner, sustainably, safely, on time, within budget.
- Provides overall guidance from HSSE perspective to the Project.
Key Responsibilities
- Close monitoring of EPC Contractor to ensure Project HSSE objectives are met.
- Provides leadership to the PMC HSSE resources, EPC Contractor and their teams.
- Champion the Project Safety culture, behaviors and engagement activities.
- Identifying, evaluating, and resolving HSSE issues during the EPC phase.
- Coordination with PMC Construction Engineers for HSSE activities.
- Ensuring Project HSSE procedures are established, maintained and implemented by EPC Contractor.
- Advising PMC team on HSSE questions and collaborating on objectives.
- Witnessing HSSE Audits conducted by EPC Contractor.
- Reporting NCR and Observations to Project Management and EPC Contractor.
- Ensure EPC Contractor's HSSE personnel are appropriately qualified.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in safety, health, environmental, technical, scientific, or related engineering.
- Relevant experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Experience in preparing HSEIA reports and conversant in QRA development.
