Job Purpose
Create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment in construction and landscape projects.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, implement safety measures, investigate incidents, and provide workforce education and awareness.
Mitigate risks, prevent accidents, and promote safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.
Roles, Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor work sites for safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Assist the HSE Officer and minimize unsafe acts and unsafe conditions on site.
- Monitor workforce compliance with in-house safety rules, requirements, and standards.
- Investigate accidents and complaints and examine equipment and machinery for regulatory compliance.
- Assess protective equipment needs and ensure employees have the equipment required to work safely.
- Prepare HSE reports and monitor project activities against Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management systems and plans.
- Conduct internal worker training and perform other duties within the role's scope as assigned by supervisors.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
Experience and Skills
- Relevant certification such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
