Responsibilities
- Supervise allocation of work assignments to Room Attendants and Porters
- Check computer system for update of room status
- Inspect guest rooms to ensure standards
- Report maintenance defects and liaise with Maintenance and Reception
- Ensure soft furnishings and decor are maintained
- Oversee deep cleaning and replacement
- Check VIP rooms and ensure gifts are replenished
- Control issue and recording of keys and bleeps
- Ensure adequate linen, cleaning materials, and guest supplies
- Assist in stock taking of Housekeeping items
- Handle guest requests, queries, and complaints
- Prepare timesheets, rotas, holiday schedules
Requirements
- Supervisory experience in a similar position is beneficial
- Flexibility and a positive attitude
- An eye for detail

Job Description
- Under the guidance of the Executive Housekeeper, assign and supervise activities of room attendants, house porters and linen porters.
- Ensure clean, orderly, attractive and well maintained guest rooms, corridors, fire exits, stairways and service areas.
- Ensure all staff and guest issues are dealt with effectively and timely.
- Supervise allocation of work assignments to Room Attendants and Porters.
- Assign special duties to Room Attendants and House Porters.
- Check computer system throughout the day for update of room status.
- Check and return allocated number of guest rooms to standard.
- Report rooms that do not require service, are Do Not Disturb or double locked.
- Report and log maintenance defects.
- Ensure soft furnishings and decor are maintained to standard.
- Oversee implementation of deep cleaning and replacement.
- Check daily arrivals, departures and VIP lists.
