ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities
- Supervises, directs, assists, monitors performance and ensures the completion of Housekeeping and Laundry tasks assigned to room attendants, and laundry attendants while maintaining quality and cleanliness standards set forth by the department
- Responsible for assisting with the hiring and development of personnel while ensuring an adequate level of labor is used to perform the required level of service
- Understands and administers performance appraisals, sets performance expectations and provides coaching and operational support for Housekeeping and Laundry staff
- Monitors and controls departmental payroll budget
- Follows inventory and purchasing procedures in order to maintain budgeted expenses
- Maintains key control within department
- Accountable for follow up with department walk throughs, and assignment of special cleaning projects as needed
- Ensures proper training and requires Team Members to maintain and enhance a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests and Team Members
- Maintains lost and found property ensuring established protocol is followed
- Perform duties of Room Attendant and Laundry Attendant when necessary
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Required
- High School diploma or GED
- Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment
- Preferred
- College Degree
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience
