Main Duties
- Maintain knowledge of dining room layouts, table setups, capacity, operating hours, dress code, reservations, VIPs, group activities, and service procedures.
- Answer telephone calls using correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
- Record and confirm restaurant reservations and cancellations and communicate changes to management.
- Review reservations, pre-assign tables, follow up on special requests, and greet and seat guests according to the floor plan.
- Present menus, ensure tables are properly set, organize busy-period procedures, and manage waiting lines.
- Respond promptly to guest needs and complaints, monitor satisfaction, and maintain positive guest relations.
- Monitor table clearing and resetting, equipment and supply cleanliness, and the organization of the hostess stand.
- Assist restaurant staff, promote food and beverage outlets, support cashiering and menu printing, and maintain a cooperative work climate.
- Attend training and meetings and perform other reasonable duties assigned to meet business and guest-service needs.

Standards and Compliance
- Report punctually in the correct uniform and name tag and maintain required personal appearance and hygiene standards.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health, safety, local legislation, and employee conduct.
