About the Role
Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha is hiring a Hostess to manage restaurant reservations, greet and seat guests, and ensure excellent dining experiences. Candidates need 1-2 years of F&B experience, fluency in English, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Answer telephone within 3 rings using correct salutations and telephone etiquette
- Take, record, and confirm restaurant reservations/cancellations in accordance with departmental standards
- Communicate reservation/cancellation changes to management as they arise
- Monitor preparation of own assignments, ensuring compliance to departmental standards
- Ensure menus and check folders are cleaned and in sufficient quantity
- Ensure hostess stand is cleaned and organized
- Review reservation book, pre assign designated tables, and follow up on special requests
- Greet guests at the entrance of the restaurant
- Seat guests according to floor plan, being fair to each waiter
- Show guests their designated table and ensure they are pleased
- Present the open menu to the guest
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage/Restaurant operation preferably in a similar quality hotel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Fluent in English; additional language is an advantage
- Friendly, outgoing behavior, able to involve and support operation
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently

Job Description

- Monitor the preparation of own assignments, ensuring compliance to departmental standards.
- Ensure that all menu’s, check folders are cleaned and in sufficient quantity.
- Ensure that the hostess stand is cleaned and organized.
- Review Reservation book, pre assign designated tables and follow up on all special requests.
- Greet the guests at the entrance of the restaurant.
- Seat Guest accordingly to floor plan / being fair to each waiter.
- Show guests their table which has been designated to them.
- Ensure that the guests are pleased with their table.
- Present the open menu to the guest.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Being fluent in English and any additional language is an advantage.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage/Restaurant operation preferably in a similar quality hotel
- A friendly, outgoing behavior, able to involve and support operation
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently.
Additional Information
- Possess the ability to communicate in Arabic and Russian Languages.
