Responsibilities
- Greet guests at the restaurant entrance and seat them according to floor plan
- Take, record, and confirm restaurant reservations and cancellations
- Communicate reservation changes to management throughout the shift
- Ensure menus and check folders are cleaned and in sufficient quantity
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand
- Anticipate heavy business times and organize procedures to handle waiting lines
- Handle guest complaints following instant pacification procedures
- Assist restaurant staff with job functions to ensure optimum service when requested
- Promote F&B outlets to customers during downtime
- Assist supervisor with cashiering procedures and menu printing
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Host/Hostess or similar front of house hospitality role (1 2 years preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focused mindset
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with capacity to multitask effectively
- Proficiency with reservation and point of sale systems
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution oriented in high pressure environments
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills and cultural awareness are a plus
- Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with luxury hospitality standards
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Company Description
- Raffles & Fairmont Red Sea is a nature focused resort in the Red Sea Project with 361 rooms, eleven dining concepts, overwater restaurants, a spa, and an 18 hole golf course.
Job Description
- Report to the Outlet Manager.
- Manage dining room layout, table setups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range, and dress code.
- Handle restaurant reservation procedures.
- Track daily house count, arrivals, departures, and VIPs.
- Answer telephone within 3 rings using correct etiquette.
- Take, record, and confirm reservations/cancellations.
- Communicate reservation changes to management.
- Monitor preparation of own assignments.
- Ensure menus and check folders are cleaned and sufficient.
- Keep hostess stand clean and organized.
- Review reservation book, pre assign tables, follow up on special requests.
- Greet and seat guests according to floor plan.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as Host/Hostess or similar front of house role (1 2 years preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with reservation and POS systems.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Professional appearance.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
