About the Role

- Monitor patients receiving systemic anti cancer therapies and identify treatment related complications
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with surgical, radiation oncology, haematology, and other teams
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, and morbidity and mortality reviews
Requirements
- UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA)
- MBBS Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of post qualification clinical experience in Medical Oncology within an acute hospital setting
- Master’s degree/Post Graduation/ Diploma in related specialty is an advantage

Position Overview
- To provide high quality, evidence based inpatient and outpatient oncology care under the supervision of Consultant and Senior Specialist Medical Oncologists.
Key Accountabilities Clinical
- Provide comprehensive assessment, investigation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow up of oncology patients within scope of granted clinical privileges.
- Support Consultant and Senior Specialist Medical Oncologists in day to day management of inpatient, outpatient, and day care oncology services.
- Conduct daily ward rounds, review patient progress, and coordinate ongoing management plans.
- Recognise and initiate management of oncology related emergencies, ensuring timely escalation.
- Monitor patients receiving systemic anti cancer therapies and supportive treatments.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with surgical, radiation oncology, haematology, pharmacy, palliative care, and other teams.
Clinical Governance & Personal Development
- Attend relevant departmental meetings, MDTs, and clinical discussions.
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality reviews.
- Maintain active involvement in clinical governance, incident reporting, and improvement planning.
- Uphold Good Medical Practice as per UAE licensing authorities and UK standards.
- Maintain up to date CPD activities in line with revalidation requirements.
Administrative
- Effectively manage own time, workload and resources.
- Comply with UAE medical health authorities’ requirements to maintain medical licence.
- Contribute to development and maintenance of computer based patient records.
- Ensure confidentiality in all aspects of data management.
- Ensure proper escalation and documentation of adverse events, near misses, or complex cases.
Managerial
- Assume other administrative or clinical duties as needed.
- Be willing to deputise and delegate when appropriate.
- Support colleagues with smooth running of Hospital & Clinics by providing cover and assistance.
- Participate in orientation of new junior staff when requested.
- Assist in financial management by working effectively with individuals in other agencies and utilising resources appropriately.
Education & Qualification
- UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA).
- MBBS Required.
- Master’s degree/Post Graduation/ Diploma in related specialty is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of post qualification clinical experience in Medical Oncology within an acute hospital setting.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team, supporting delivery of systemic anti cancer therapies, oncology emergencies, and evidence based cancer care under consultant supervision.
