The Senior Principal Hook Up Engineer is a specialist responsible for complex Hook Up and Commissioning challenges affecting project execution and delivery.
The role provides technical direction, execution strategy, budget control, offshore readiness, and project delivery leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute hook-up strategies for timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Coordinate clients, contractors, and internal teams on project requirements and objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with standards, codes, and regulations.
- Conduct inspections, audits, constructability reviews, HAZID workshops, and SIMOPS workshops.
- Define shutdown and turnaround strategies and validate critical interfaces.
- Control project budgets and review estimates, discrepancies, and mitigation actions.
- Review critical engineering deliverables and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify and manage risks, opportunities, subcontractor requirements, and vendor alignment.
- Prepare offshore schedules and readiness reviews for mobilization.
- Manage offshore execution, conference calls, team motivation, and safe delivery.
- Implement management-of-change processes as required.
- Participate in closeout, lessons learned, project reviews, and brownfield readiness endorsements.
