About the Role

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and identify mechanical problems using computerized diagnostic equipment
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure proper working condition
- Perform routine maintenance work such as changing oil, checking batteries, lubricating equipment and parts
- Examine damaged vehicles and estimate repair costs
- Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment
- Test drive vehicles to ensure they are running smoothly and to diagnose malfunctions
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
- Maintain logs of work and report issues to supervisory staff
- Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies
Requirements
- Experience diagnosing and identifying mechanical problems using computerized diagnostic equipment
