- Lead change management initiatives related to new applications or major changes.
- Manage and develop the IT applications team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
- Experience in IT applications management, preferably in retail or healthcare.
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and budgets.
- Leadership experience managing a team of IT professionals.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and data security/privacy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical features.

Overview
- Support in the development, implementation, and management of IT applications that support and enhance the operational efficiency and service delivery of the retail business.
- This role involves applications operational planning to align IT applications with business goals while managing a team of IT professionals to ensure effective application development and maintenance, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Accountabilities
- Contribute to the development and management of the IT applications, involving short term planning to align the application strategy with business objectives and technological advancements.
- Work closely with internal customers and super users to build IT applications capable of meeting organizational goals through effective analysis of technical requirements.
- Oversee multiple application development and implementation projects, setting timelines, allocating resources, managing budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time.
- Manage applications, ensuring they meet organizational needs through regular assessments and decisions regarding upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning.
- Build and maintain relationships with software vendors and external partners, and liaise with internal stakeholders to understand their needs.
- Develop and manage the budget for the IT applications department, including cost benefit analysis and monitoring spending.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Ensure applications comply with relevant laws and regulations, particularly data security and privacy, and assess and mitigate risks.
- Oversee integration of applications to ensure seamless operation and data consistency across the organization.
- Implement quality assurance processes and oversee testing of new and existing applications.
- Oversee data management practices within applications and utilize data analytics to inform business decisions.
- Ensure end users are effectively trained on new applications and provide ongoing support.
