Overview
- We are seeking a detail oriented and professional Health & Safety Manager to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
- In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs that protect our workforce and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with UAE labor laws and international safety standards
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace dangers and recommend appropriate control measures
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Maintain detailed safety documentation, records, and reports; ensure accurate reporting to regulatory authorities as required
- Organize and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels, including induction, toolbox talks, and specialized safety courses
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices to ensure ongoing compliance
- Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to integrate safety requirements into daily operations and project planning
- Develop and maintain emergency response and evacuation procedures; coordinate drills and training exercises
- Monitor safety performance metrics and key performance indicators; prepare reports for management review
- Stay current with changes in health and safety regulations and industry best practices; update policies accordingly
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external safety consultants
