Role Overview
The Head Technical Manager will lead the technical function for a well-established contracting company in Dubai.
This senior office-based position manages technical activities across multiple construction projects and coordinates multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Work Arrangement
- The role is full-time and office-based in Dubai, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Technical Department across multiple projects.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
- Review and approve IFC drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs.
- Lead technical coordination with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Identify and resolve technical issues before they affect construction, cost, or schedule.
- Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, authority requirements, project specifications, and contracts.
- Review design changes, technical proposals, and value engineering opportunities.
- Support project teams with constructability reviews and technical solutions.
- Establish technical procedures, workflows, and documentation standards.
- Monitor technical submissions, approvals, and design deliverables across projects.
