Job Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the implementation of legal, compliance, and governance strategies in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Provide expert legal advice to senior leadership on corporate matters, contracts, regulatory issues, and risk management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the companys interests.
- Establish and maintain a robust GRC framework to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Apply effective risk management techniques and provide proactive recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, evaluate their impact, and recommend necessary policy or practice adjustments.
- Oversee Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) programs to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
- Lead investigations into compliance issues, disputes, or regulatory breaches, ensuring timely resolution and transparent reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, external counsel, and key stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Legal & GRC team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Promote legal and compliance awareness through training sessions and staff engagement.
Key Requirements
- Bachelors degree in
Law
- (mandatory).
- Masters degree or certification in Governance, Risk Management, or Compliance (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- in corporate legal, compliance, or GRC roles, with at least
- 5 years in a leadership capacity
- .
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance, legal frameworks, and compliance regulations.
- Proven negotiation, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (mandatory).
- Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Risk Management Professional, GRC Certification) are highly desirable.
