Job Purpose

  • Lead the contract sub team responsible for managing a multi billion dollar EPCC contract and contribute to the safe delivery of the project on schedule and within budget.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Provide commercial and contracting direction related to all aspects of post award EPCC contract management through contract close out.
  • Deliver the Value Protection Plan and lead the change order management process.
  • Work closely with SUPPLY to provide expertise in claims prevention, dispute avoidance, and resolution.
  • Maintain effective relationships with management, legal, and risk management teams.
  • Develop and implement post award contract management strategies and commercial management scenarios.
  • Coordinate and oversee contract evaluations, end of contract reviews, and close out activities.
  • Provide central coordination for contractual communications and responses to EPC contractors.
  • Support the Onshore Contracts Division Manager by managing claims related activities and preparing reports.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to accelerate improvement initiatives and support digital strategy.
  • Collaborate with SUPPLY to recruit, retain, and develop contract management talent.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in post award contract management on multi billion dollar lump sum major energy projects.
  • Proven experience in a similar leadership position.

Technical & Business Competencies

  • Strong influencing skills and business acumen.
  • Strong risk management awareness.
  • Thorough understanding of contract management practices and legal knowledge.
  • Claims and dispute resolution experience (advantageous).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership capabilities.
  • Stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to supporting digital transformation and organisational excellence.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Senior contract professional with extensive experience managing post award EPCC contracts on large scale LNG, energy, or mega capital projects.
  • Strong commercial, contractual, claims, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Leadership skills to guide teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver successful project outcomes.
