Responsibilities
- Oversee planning, preparation, and execution of fabrication requirements from yard activities to load out
- Ensure constructability of design is consistent with project engineering drawings and industry standards
- Manage and ensure successful execution of fabrication activities to meet safety, quality, schedule objectives
- Supervise and control Contractor/Subcontractor activities related to fabrication and mechanical completion
- Review deviations to Company LNG construction standards and deliver consistent dossier
- Identify areas of concern with respect to progress and quality and recommend corrective actions
- Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for structure, MC, pre commissioning, and commissioning
- Lead and contribute to Risk Assessments, kick off meetings, and technical meetings
- Participate in Lessons Learned and implement lessons from previous projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering
- 12 years experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines in Oil & Gas Industry
- 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Good knowledge of Project Execution procedures and field management
- Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria related to fabrication
- Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures or yard operations
- Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities

Role Overview
- Airswift is a Global Manpower Provider specialising in Energy, Infrastructure & IT sectors.
- We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Head of Construction (Fabrication) specialising in offshore compression.
- This is a long term contract role working on a residential basis 6 days per week / 10 hours per day.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
- 12 years experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines in Oil & Gas Industry, including 2 years supervisory experience.
- Good knowledge of Project Execution procedures and field management techniques including fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completions.
- Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
Technical And Business Skills
- Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook up.
- Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations.
- Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
- Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
Key Accountabilities
- Reports to Execution Division Manager.
- Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during fabrication process.
- Manages and ensures successful execution of fabrication activities to meet prioritized objectives.
- Supervise and control Contractor/Subcontractors activities related to fabrication, Mechanical Completion.
- Check constructability aspects and compliance to technical requirements of deliverables.
- Review deviations to Company LNG construction standards.
- Identify areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions.
- Review Contractor’s progress reports and highlight critical problems.
- Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for structure, MC, Pre commissioning and Commissioning.
- Lead and contribute to Risk Assessments, kick off meetings, and technical meetings.
- Participate in Lessons Learned and implement lessons learned.
