About the Role
DHL Global Forwarding seeks a Head of Airfreight Growth to lead regional Air Freight Growth by integrating country growth execution into a coherent commercial agenda. The role calibrates regional growth priorities, identifies cross-country opportunity patterns, and ensures alignment with global direction.

Responsibilities
- Translate global Growth direction into a regionally executable growth agenda covering customer segments, sector priorities, trade lane focus and market opportunities
- Integrate country Growth plans into one regional view, identifying cross country patterns, common blockers, scalable plays and capability gaps
- Calibrate regional pipeline quality, RFQ priorities, strategic customer development, reactivation opportunities and sector/lane focus across countries
- Partner with Regional Pricing, Product & Services, Sectors, RDM, SCM & Gateways, Customer Operations, Implementation and Process Excellence to align regional growth execution
- Ensure countries retain execution ownership while applying consistent Growth routines, domain boundaries and data standards
- Identify regional pursuit barriers and convert them into actions
- Coach country Heads of Growth and Growth Managers on prioritization, opportunity qualification, margin aware growth and cross domain handoff discipline
- Provide regional air freight leadership with visibility on pipeline quality, market opportunity, customer development performance and structural growth risks
- Escalate unresolved regional capability gaps or blueprint interpretation conflicts to Global Growth / Global Air Freight leadership
- Build regional Growth maturity by reducing fragmented local approaches and reinforcing one common GTOM Growth logic across the region
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification; preferred master’s degree
- Typically more than 10 years in air freight, regional commercial leadership, business development, product/customer strategy, strategic account development or forwarding leadership

Job Purpose
- Lead regional Air Freight Growth by integrating country growth execution into one coherent regional commercial agenda, ensuring countries apply consistent Growth logic while retaining local execution autonomy.
- The role calibrates regional growth priorities, identifies cross country opportunity patterns, and ensures growth execution is aligned with global direction, regional market realities, customer strategy and GTOM domain boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate global Growth direction into a regionally executable growth agenda covering customer segments, sector priorities, trade lane focus and market opportunities.
- Integrate country Growth plans into one regional view, identifying cross country patterns, common blockers, scalable plays and capability gaps.
- Calibrate regional pipeline quality, RFQ priorities, strategic customer development, reactivation opportunities and sector / lane focus across countries.
- Partner with Regional Pricing, Product & Services, Sectors, RDM, SCM & Gateways, Customer Operations, Implementation and Process Excellence to align regional growth execution.

- Escalate unresolved regional capability gaps or blueprint interpretation conflicts to Global Growth / Global Air Freight leadership where regional authority is insufficient.
- Build regional Growth maturity by reducing fragmented local approaches and reinforcing one common GTOM Growth logic across the region.
