Head Nurse

Job Purpose

Nursing and Clinical Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical requirements, nursing performance, resource allocation, patient needs, records, reports, health and safety checks, and stock counts.
• Provide clinical leadership, delegate tasks, work with doctors, assist medical directors, and communicate with the Branch Manager.
• Train and sign off new staff after they meet required competencies.
• Manage quality management, quality improvement, quality assurance, compliance functions, and regulatory policy updates.
• Develop and oversee patient-care processes and protocols from reception through consultation and treatment rooms.
• Collect patient information, assist doctors, use medical equipment, perform IV cannulation and phlebotomy, and manage medication rotation.
• Maintain accurate patient records, respond to emergencies, promote patient safety, and support continuous improvement.

Administrative and Customer Service Duties

• Support operational planning, administrative efficiency, cost-effective procedures, reports, bookings, and office work when nursing duties allow.
• Maintain customer service standards, provide accurate cashier information, and follow telephone and communication procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality, professional accountability, nursing ethics, staff development records, and current clinical knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a B.S.N. or equivalent qualification.
• At least eight years of nursing experience is required.
• Current RN license from a recognized accredited professional body is required.
• Strong leadership and training skills are required.

Skills and Knowledge

• Required knowledge includes medical terminology, health administration, computer systems, government regulations, infection control, health and safety, and vitamin and mineral infusions.
• Required capabilities include planning, organizing, delegating, supervising, data interpretation, research, reporting, independent judgment, and problem solving.
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency and formal email and booking skills are required.
• Arabic and Tagalog are preferred languages.
