Requirement

  • Minimum 20 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • At least 10 years in a managerial role overseeing Fixed Assets and Inventory Accounting.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the Healthcare/Hospital sector.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Government/Public Sector.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience in Qatar.
  • Proven experience managing large scale fixed asset registers, inventory accounting, capital projects, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Fixed Assets and Inventory Accounting function.
  • Ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, disposal, and reconciliation of fixed assets in compliance with IFRS and organizational policies.
  • Oversee inventory accounting processes, stock valuation, and inventory controls.
  • Ensure timely month end and year end financial closing activities related to fixed assets and inventory.
  • Maintain compliance with IFRS, internal controls, audit requirements, and statutory regulations.
  • Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, engineering, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate asset and inventory records.
  • Drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting through ERP systems.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while ensuring effective resource planning and performance management.

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands on experience with Oracle E Business Suite (EBS).
  • Working knowledge of Oracle ERP, SAP, or other enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Thorough understanding of IFRS, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
