Head Barista

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the barista team during daily operations.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages according to company standards.
• Maintain consistency in coffee quality, recipes, presentation, and portion control.
• Set up, calibrate, and monitor espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
• Train and coach baristas on coffee preparation, recipes, equipment, and service standards.
• Monitor bar operations, inventory, workflow, cleaning, maintenance, hygiene, and food safety.
• Handle customer feedback and assist with menu development, recipe testing, opening, and closing procedures.
• Coordinate with management and other departments and maintain a professional working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Barista, Senior Barista, or Barista Team Leader.
• Previous UAE experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso preparation, extraction, beverage recipes, machines, and grinders.
• Previous experience training or supervising barista teams.
• Good leadership, communication, customer service, and English communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Immediate availability to join is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty coffee or third-wave café experience is preferred.
• Strong latte art skills are preferred.
• Barista or coffee certifications are preferred.
• Beverage menu development and costing experience is preferred.
• Experience opening or setting up a new café is preferred.

• The role is performed in person.
