The Opportunity
We’re looking for a skilled Operator to join our team at our Ryde transfer station.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone heavy machinery experience keen to contribute to essential waste operations that support the local environment. Some of the responsibilities are as below.
Duties
- Staging trucks and trailers throughout the day for loading and quick hitching
- Quick hitching is when a prime mover comes in, drops and empty trailer and hitches to a full trail, the leaves…quickly.
- Using a backhoe to dig out overweight trailers
- Cleaning behind the packer units
- Communicating the tipping locations to drivers
- Ensuring the tipping destinations are evenly shared across drivers
About You
Current Excavator and Loader / Forklift ticket
Must hold a current HC Licence
Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
Good mechanical aptitude and committed to safety
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and good communication skills
